First, the reassurance: heat pump supply air is naturally milder than furnace air — around body temperature — so it can feel cool even when it is heating fine. Genuinely cool air, though, points to low refrigerant, a failed reversing valve, or the system running in the wrong mode. If the house is losing ground against the thermostat, it is a real problem and worth a call.
