A new air conditioner is a 15-year decision. We size it to the house, install it like it matters, and prove the performance with instruments before we leave.
Most air conditioners do not die of old age — they die early from the day they were installed. Wrong size, sloppy line set, guessed-at charge, zero commissioning. The equipment gets blamed; the install was the culprit. We built our installation process to be the opposite of that story.
Sizing starts with your actual house: square footage, insulation, window load, duct capacity, and how the outgoing system really performed. Then commissioning with instruments — airflow, temperature split, pressures — because 'it blows cold' is not a measurement.
