Why airflow, not heat, dries your clothes

A dryer works by moving hot air through wet laundry and pushing the resulting moisture outside through the vent. Heat is only half the equation — if moist air can't leave, it recirculates, humidity in the drum stays high, and clothes tumble in warm steam instead of drying.
